May - Hoosier Women Artists
I entered one of my photographs in the Hoosier Women Artists Competition sponsored by Lt. Governor Crouch, Treasurer Mitchell & the Indiana Arts Commission. The annual competition was established in 2008 as a way to celebrate the importance of the arts in Indiana’s communities and showcase the work of talented female artists throughout the state.
I am honored and humbled to have found out that out of the 208 entries, my image titled "Falls of Spring" was one of 34 chosen to be displayed in the State House in Indianapolis as part of this year long exhibit.
Additionally, the Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art has invited the 2017 honorees to be featured in a special exhibition at the Haan Museum, titled Hoosier Women Artists: Works Selected for the Statehouse. This exhibition will run from August 3, 2018 through October 27th, 2018.
