The Light Within

Like a moth to a flame, I am often drawn to Eastern Vigo/Western Clay County including the Chinook Fish & Wildlife Area for the tranquility and beauty it offers. As I was heading out to photograph early one Summer morning, I saw fog and knew where I needed to be. This image is one I created that morning as the sun was rising. The cattail plants in the foreground of the image were beautiful silhouetted against the golden glow painted by the sunrise and held by the fog over these waters. The soft reflection of the sun and light trail created on the water's surface added that extra element I needed to complete this peaceful scene.
