Turkey Run State Park

This bridge was built in 1918, two years after Turkey Run became a state park. It spans Sugar Creek and links the park’s developed area with the more remote northern section and its popular hiking trails. Flooding in the Spring of 2013 pushed Sugar Creek within a foot of the bridge, damaging it when an uprooted tree became lodged in the structure. While closed temporarily that year, it was reopened in the Fall of 2013 after repairs were made to the bridge and concrete foundation.
