The Storm Before the Calm, Cataract Falls
Spring at Cataract Falls is a beautiful time of year. This scene showcases both the shelf before part of the Upper falls, and the downstream view. By visually softening the powerful flow of the water right before it drops over the lowest shelf on the Upper Falls, I was able to emphasize the patterns created by the flow. The water’s path downstream continues the arching effect in the upper falls visually mimicking the soft flowing lines and making it appear as though the waterfall is not even there.
