While out photographing one morning I came across this grouping of branches and dead weeds sticking out of the water of a pond on the East side of Terre Haute, IN. To my eye, the branches and their reflections on the water’s surface created a pattern which closely resembled an Angel Fish. The song “Under the Sea” started running through my head, and so I felt it was the perfect title for this piece. In keeping with the title, I used the foreground cattails to give a feeling of seaweed surrounding the fish. If you look closely you will see two small birds perched gracefully on the branches, which added another visual element to the image.
