Treasured Moment

I was commissioned by a client to create a landscape style image at the lake where they live, and design a custom art piece to hang on the wall of their living room. She requested reflections in still waters and her husband included in the picture enjoying his favorite pastime of fishing. There is a great deal of planning involved in this type of request. The first step was to complete a pre-site visit which included taking test shots to determine what elements to include, where I wanted his boat in the scene, the best angle, time of day and weather conditions. After watching weather conditions for many weeks, several additional visits to the location, aligning our schedules and my subject and I being very patient on the chosen evening waiting on wind conditions to be perfect and the "planets to align" I captured this moment in time. In the foreground of the image you can see his lure dropping in the water as he cast his line. What a wonderful memory to pass down to their future generations!
